Do you want to:

  • know more about global business issues?
  • learn different cultures from all over the world?
  • talk to other students/faculty/staff about their experiences in foreign countries?
  • network with others who are interested in international business?
  • have access to a common platform for international students?
  • Welcome to the club! The International Business Club (IBC) was founded in Winter 2006 within the UC Davis GSM, with the goal of promoting cross-cultural understanding, and providing an outlet for those who want to develop their international business knowledge, gain awareness of international business opportunities, and network with others with similar interests.

This web site is our effort to provide you with all of the resources you will need while pursuing your career in international business. If you are not already a member, join now to gain access to a globally diverse group of students, faculty, and staff. Be sure to check out the various  events  organized by the club. If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please feel free to email one of the officers at any time.

The mission of the International Business Club is to promote cross-cultural understanding and provide an avenue for developing international business and development knowledge.

In addition to hosting films, speakers, and faculty-led Tai Chi workouts, a key component of the club is supporting and facilitating the International Study Trip.  This is an annual 3 credit, 10-week Winter Quarter course in which students collaborate with a faculty advisor to select a country or countries that they will visit over Spring Break.  Students then identify industry sectors they are interested in, and establish contacts within the international organizations they will visit during the trip. Past topics have included international trade, socioeconomic development, and environmental responsibility.

A few of the previous IST classes have visited Brazil, China, Malaysia, Mexico, and Japan -to name a few.

The International Business Club remains committed to working with all other clubs and organizations to facilitate inter-club collaboration and raise the issues that straddle International Business, Net Impact, Finance and all other internationally related topics.
